Following the popularity of previous mission events, once again churches in the area have come together to offer young people an opportunity to share together in mission activities with local churches.

Children suffer as energy companies fail vulnerable families in energy debt

Energy companies are failing huge numbers of families struggling with energy debt, causing parents to feel intimidated and damaging children’s health, new research from The Children’s Society reveals.

 Almost a million children are living in families in energy debt and too often energy companies are not following their legal obligations to help these families.

Parent & Toddler Group Guidelines Published

A new booklet that gives good practice guidance to people running parents and toddler groups has been published jointly by the Mother's Union, the Salvation Army and Care for the Family. 

This practical and comprehensive guide is full of advice, information, resources and proformas for use by local groups working with parents and toddlers. 

Holy Week in a Box

 

We like this! A fun, crafty, compact activity that promotes good 1-2-1 discussion with children about the events and meanings of Holy Week.

You'd need to start sourcing your materials soon, as Easter isn't that far away. As well as normal craft shops, try The Works for really cheap materials, or even see if you've a local scrap store to get some bits from.

National Young Vocations Conference 2015

The national Young Vocations Conference 2015 will take place from the 16th-18th February in Ely. The conference is aimed at young people aged 16-19 who are at any stage of exploring a vocation to ordained ministry in the Church of England.
