Children and Family Worker
3 year appointment - 20 hours per week
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and ideas to develop relationships with the parents and children connected with Northallerton Methodist Church and to lead and co-ordinate the work of the junior church.
Remuneration will be between £10.00 and £14.00 per hour, plus pension contribution, and be dependent on qualifications and experience.
Holiday entitlement : 35 days per annum (pro rata) including bank and public holidays.
We have been asked to bring to your attention the Government's recent proposal to allow OFSTED to inspect out of school education, which is aimed at safeguarding children and young people from extremist indoctrination.
As a professional team of children's and youth work advisers we applaud this, as we, like most other people, would find such practices abhorrent.
Several people have been raising concerns about some of the actions of Samaritan’s Purse, who run Operation Christmas Child (the very popular shoebox activity).
