Children and Family Worker

3 year appointment  -  20 hours per week

 

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and ideas to develop relationships with the parents and children connected with Northallerton Methodist Church  and to lead and co-ordinate the work of the junior church.

Remuneration will be between £10.00 and £14.00 per hour, plus pension contribution, and be dependent on qualifications and experience. 

Holiday entitlement : 35 days per annum  (pro rata) including bank and public holidays.

Out-of-school education settings: call for evidence Government consultation

We have been asked to bring to your attention the Government's recent proposal to allow OFSTED to inspect out of school education, which is aimed at safeguarding children and young people from extremist indoctrination.

 

As a professional team of children's and youth work advisers we applaud this, as we, like most other people, would find such practices abhorrent.

Advice over concerns about the Operation Christmas Child appeal

New Barnabas for Children catalogue published

The lovely people at Bible Reading Fellowship (BRF) have published a new catalogue of resources for work with children, families and churches, under their subsidery name of Barnabas for Children.

Their resourtces include all the Messy Church materials, as well as publications for all aspects of work with children, including schools resources.
