New Barnabas for Children catalogue published

The lovely people at Bible Reading Fellowship (BRF) have published a new catalogue of resources for work with children, families and churches, under their subsidery name of Barnabas for Children.

Their resourtces include all the Messy Church materials, as well as publications for all aspects of work with children, including schools resources.

Growth happens...it just takes time

Here's a really interesting article from the Church of England Communicatios Deptartment. It's all about church growth and how we need to make people feel really welcome. It also says starting with children is vital. Most importantly, it points out that doing stuff like this takes time, before you can show significant results! Worth remembering when you feel like you're banging you head against a wall...

52 (almost) painless things your community could do

Here's a great idea from Rural Action Yorkshire to encourage rural communities to develop their community life. Some of these could easily involve children and young people. I love the idea of moving the mobile chip can to the village hall car park and opening the hall, so people can eat together.
