Deacons 2023
Joseph Harrison
Joseph will be serving at the church of St. Paul the Apostle in Monk Bretton, Barnsley. For the last 3 years he has been in full time academic training at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield.
Karin Shaw
Karin Shaw will be serving in the parish of St Peter’s, Harrogate (Leeds Diocese). She trained part-time for ordination at St Hild College alongside her job as Fresh Expressions of Church Enabler.
Laity Watters
Laya will serve as the curate of Holy Trinity Idle, St Cuthbert Wrose and St John Greengates. She trained for ordination at Ridley Hall in Cambridge, studying the BA Theology, Ministry and Mission.
Lizzie Reynolds
Lizzie Reynolds is excited to be serving in the parish of St Wilfrid, Calverley in the Leeds diocese. She has loved training part-time at St Hild College where she is reading for an MA in Theology, Ministry and Mission.
Sharon Bavington
Sharon will be serving her curacy at Fountains Church, Bradford after training for ordination at St. Hild, and completing a Master’s in Mission and Leadership.
Simon Fern
Fern will serve his curacy at Holy Nativity Church, in the parish of Mixenden and Illingworth, North Halifax. He moved to Durham with Jemima, his cat, to train for ministry at Cranmer Hall, completing a 2-year diploma.
Steve Gibbin
Steve looks forward to serving his curacy at High Harrogate St Peter's after finishing his training at St Hild.
