Developing community relations, sharing curries and cakes

Members of Mothers’ Union at Beeston St Mary’s were shown authentic Asian cooking by some ladies from the Asha neighbourhood Project.

The ladies put the ingredients together for a chicken curry, not too hot, but very tasty. They also talked about the herbs and spices they were using and the flavours they would impart. It was a very pleasant session and was a good way to develop community relations.

When asked if there was anything Mothers’ Union could show them, the answer came immediately: “Baking”. So “the Great Beeston Bake Off” will be held on 11th September at Beeston Parish Centre.
