Three new children and youth leaders have been appointed to the diocese this month bringing the Children, Young People and Families Team up to full strength.
Joining Liz Morton (pictured second left) , the team leader, and Anne Carter (third from left), are Katherine Grasham (far left), Dawn Moore (second on the right) and Graeme Bigg.
Each of the five team members will be the first point of contact for one of the five Episcopal Areas (see below) and in addition each will offer specialist advice, training and leadership in specific areas from working with under-5s and families to employment of church youth workers.
Team Leader, Liz Morton, who is the first point of contact for the Wakefield Area and oversees training, said she was delighted that the team was now complete: “It’s fabulous. It feels that we now have ‘the technology’, a full team, and we can start working on something really exciting together.”
The team will be based at the Diocesan Office and will be supported by Mission and Ministry Administrator, Charlie Scott. Although the roles are part-time, the team will be available to respond to requests, go out and meet with deaneries, chapters and parishes, running training events across the diocese.
