Inspiring tale of Syrian woman's escape to success in Huddersfield

St Philip's, Birchencliffe will welcome award-winning cheesemaker Razan Alsous for an afternoon of inspiring talk and the finest halloumi in Huddersfield.

Razan, pictured left, will talk about her life in Syria and how she came to Yorkshire 2012 with her husband and three children to build a new life in safety.

Now the renowned maker of Yorkshire Dama Cheeses, she will demonstrate one of her delicious recipes using her halloumi cheese and there will be the opportunity to buy some afterwards.

The event is on Thursday, March 21 from 1pm to 3pm and everyone is very welcome at St Philip's Community Centre, Briarlyn Road, Birchencliffe, HD3 3NP
