Continuing Ministerial Development (CMD)

From October 2016 we have begun to work as a new team of Clergy Development Officers across the diocese. Once the team is at its full complement there will be five Clergy Development Officers; one for each episcopal area.

The Clergy Development Officer will be responsible for the curate training programme for curates (IME) in her/his particular area, and have oversight of on-going clergy development (CMD), including following up the individual training needs generated by Ministerial Development Reviews (MDR) and the administration of CMD grants.

All five of the Clergy Development Officers will be doing this role in half of their time. Four will also be parish priests. One will be the Director of Clergy Development Officer, coordinating the team to ensure an integrated approach to training and formation provision across the diocese.
