The first in a series of online interviews, exploring the relationship between Christianity and work, took place earlier this month.
People from across the diocese gathered on Zoom to hear from Mark McAllister (pictured) who is currently the Chair of Office for Nuclear Regulation and has worked in the international oil industry since 1979. Mark is also a Christian and spoke about how he has lived out his faith whilst having a successful career in engineering.
It was the first of three recorded Zoom interviews, with the next is taking place on Thursday, February 11. It will feature David Flowers who works in the financial sector and co-pastors the Vineyard Church in Leeds. Follow the link here if you wish to register a place.
The Revd Angela Hannafin, Lay Training Officer for the Diocese of Leeds, said, “We’re trying to equip Christians to make connections between their faith and their work, whether that’s paid or unpaid work.”
“The ‘God at Work’ series aims to encourage us to do that, as we listen to someone else speak honestly about working out their faith in the workplace.”
