The national Step Forward event, held annually for 18 - 30 year olds in the Anglican Church, is taking place on Saturday, March 13 over Zoom. 
It is a great opportunity for those exploring the possibility of ordination, no matter how faint that possibility might feel at the moment.
This year it will include inspiring guest speakers, such as the Archbishop of York, the National Young Vocation Officer and various others representing different kinds of ordained ministry.
Free of charge, Step Forward will include stories of people in various ordained ministries, space for discussion with others also considering their calling and opportunity to ask questions of panel speakers.
Revd Steve Proudlove, Assistant Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Vocations, said, "It was a day like this one that prompted me initially to explore my sense of calling to ordination."
"Before that I had a nagging sense of 'One day, maybe...' but I left knowing that 'now was the time to explore.
"Giving some time over to thinking about this is a small price to pay at the moment when the only other viable options are going for a walk (probably in the rain) or binge-watching more Netflix!"
The Archbishop of York (pictured), the Most Revd Stephen Cottrell, said, “God always reaches out in love to humankind, calling us and journeying alongside us. Jesus Christ says, ‘Come and follow me’ into life in all its fullness."
"For some, their fulfilment is found in the ordained ministry.
"Might you be called by Jesus to follow him in this challenging and exciting vocation?”
