Visitations 2017

This year's Visitations take place at 5 locations across the diocese.
Licensed Clergy, Licensed Lay Workers and Churchwardens for 2016 and for 2017 of each and every parish in the Diocese of Leeds are cited to attend one of these events.

At the Visitation the Lord Bishop of Leeds will deliver a charge to the clergy and churchwardens.
Churchwardens of the coming year will make their declarations at the Visitation Court prior to being admitted to office.

Friday 5 May, 7.30pm at Ripon Cathedral.

Wednesday 10 May, 7.30pm at St Michael's, Headingley.

Open Quiet Day

Monday 21 August, 10am - 4pm at Parcevall Hall

Inspirational Bible Characters – Mary, Mother of the Lord and his Church.

Leader: Rev Canon Paul Greenwell.

Paul Greenwell is Precentor at Ripon Cathedral and the Chair of Trustees of Parcevall Hall. Born in Shotton, he studied Botany at Oxford University before returning to train at St Stephen’s House for the Priesthood. Paul was ordained in 1985 and served as chaplain at Harrogate District Hospital and St Michael’s Hospice before his appointment as Residentiary Canon in 2008.

Heart & Soul Singing Retreat

4pm, Wednesday 19 July - 3pm, Friday 21 July at Parcevall Hall.

Tutor: Keely Hodgson.

Combine singing in harmony with finding rest, nurture and inspiration. No previous singing experience or ability to read music is required. A varied repertoire of songs and rounds are sensitively taught using call and response.

Conductor: Rev Prebendary William Scott.

Bill Scott is an Anglican priest who served as Domestic Chaplain to the Queen at Buckingham Palace and Sub Dean of the Chapel Royal. Prior to this he served as the Chaplain of The Queen’s Chapel of the Savoy and the Chaplain of the Royal Victorian Order. Previously, he was Vicar of St. Mary’s Church, Bourne Street, London.
