2025 Curacy Parishes Opportunities

We are pleased to have a number of curacy opportunities to offer across the Diocese of Leeds, for commencement in Summer 2025.

Here in Leeds, we are committed to life-long learning of clergy and lay people.  As such, curates can expect a programme of Initial Ministerial Education 2 (IME2) which focusses on equipping clergy with the knowledge and skills they will need for their ministerial life, but also seeks to inspire them towards further development throughout their ministry.  The resources available in our large diocese enable the potential for more specialised learning from teams of experts in the diocese.  Being a larger diocese also offers the chance to enjoy IME training surrounded by a cohort of colleagues who bring a richness of experience from their varied contexts to share in training sessions.  There are few places where the distinctives of so many contexts are mingled in one IME session, and this sets the tone for fostering a collegiate pattern of learning from each other.  Indeed, we find that reflecting together as groups of curates is often one of the most valued areas of the IME2 programme.

We know this a great place to train and serve, and we think you will too! Take a look at the opportunities and get in touch with the team if you think you might be called to join us in the Diocese of Leeds.
