Vicar, St Andrew's Starbeck

Are you a Priest who can lead with humility, vision, and a prayerful dependence on the Spirit and who will help us grow as disciples of Jesus, and strengthen our witness in the local community? We would like to hear from you!

St Andrew’s is a welcoming, mission-focused evangelical, single church parish. We are an all-age community with a deep commitment to Scripture, prayer, and sharing the love of Christ within Starbeck, a distinctive and socially diverse community situated between historic Knaresborough and the spa town of Harrogate. We are praying our new vicar will:

  • Preach and teach the Bible with clarity and relevance
  • Love our people and champion ministry among children, youth, and families
  • Help us develop and equip others for leadership, especially younger members
  • Value a range of worship styles and help us grow in wholehearted worship

We offer:

  • A prayerful, committed congregation, generous and faithful in giving, caring and compassionate, and hungry for God’s presence
  • The opportunity to make a difference in a diverse community building on strong foundations
  • Church buildings that are open, accessible and flexible spaces that lend themselves to a variety of uses,
  • Strong links with local schools and community groups, including active and well-supported groups for older people
  • A modern vicarage
  • A warm and friendly welcome!

Our key challenge is developing the next generation of leaders as we look to the future.

If you feel God is calling you to help shape the next chapter of St Andrew’s, we would be delighted to hear from you.
