The Diocese of Leeds is pleased to be offering five grants of up to £250 to help those who work with children and young people attend the National Youth Ministry Weekend.
These matched-funded grants will help cover volunteer or paid worker expenses, and are available alongside five free tickets to the conference that have been provided by the Growing Faith Foundation, Vision & Strategy and Ministry Development teams.
The National Youth Ministry Weekend is taking place from Friday, November 22, to Sunday, November 24, at Resorts World Birmingham.
It is an annual event for all Christians involved in supporting young people and helping with church youth work, including youth leaders, church leaders, paid workers and volunteers.
The event aims to inspire, encourage and support people with practical advice and resources, bringing lots of Christians together to learn and have fun and be refreshed and encouraged.
The diocese wants people to be able to have a positive time at the conference, and hopes with this offer we can help make that happen.
The diocese believes strongly that investing in youth ministry and those involved in it is important, and wants to support those with a calling to this ministry, to help those young people connected to our churches.
Liz Morton, Children, Young People and Families Team Leader, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer these grants to enable people who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to experience the National Youth Ministry Weekend.
“This annual event offers inspiration, encouragement, practical advice and resources to support all those involved in supporting young people in church youth work.”
The deadline for apply for these grants is 9am on Monday, October 14.
