People will gather at Leeds Minster on Tuesday, February 10, to explore how we hear from God and our sense of calling.
Thirteen new deacons were ordained at Wakefield Cathedral on Saturday, June 28 at a joyful service of celebration.
A new series of events will help people across the diocese find out more about their vocations.
Vocations Sunday is on Sunday, May 11, and the diocese is warmly commending resources from the Church of England to help churches mark the day.
Our new Diocesan Director of Vocations is Revd Canon Sean Robertshaw from the Holme Valley, following in the successful footsteps of newly-retired Revd Canon Derek Walmsley.
A "Leeds Eleven" of new deacons were welcomed into their exciting roles at a packed service in Ripon Cathedral, led by the Anglican Bishop of Leeds, the Rt Revd Nick Baines.
Seventeen new priests were ordained this weekend in services across the diocese.
A lawyer, a former combat medic and a TV production assistant are just some of the people being ordained as new deacons in the Diocese of Leeds this month.
Derek Walmsley, our Director of Ordinands and Vocations, is celebrating eight years in his role and has now preached about vocation in one hundred churches across our diocese.
Services of joyful celebration have been held at Bradford Cathedral as we ordained this year’s class of new deacons.
