Marrick Priory seeks new trustees

Marrick Priory are looking to recruit five new trustees.

Marrick Priory is a Christian outdoor education and residential centre, based in a building with 850 years of Christian faith, history and tradition.

The Priory are looking for five new trustees, of which three are to be nominated by the Rt Revd Nick Baines, Bishop of Leeds.

The Priory seeks to encourage and develop self-respect, respect for others and for the natural environment through a range of activities that promote participation, teamwork, personal challenge, independence, friendship and personal responsibility.

Whether groups follow an active or reflective programme, the Priory aims to provide a positive and enriching experience of heritage, countryside and community life in a Christian environment.

New trustees will be asked to join working groups, to help facilitate projects such as the replacement of the Priory’s bungalow with a building suitable for staff accommodation, kit storage, drying area and flexible accommodation for disabled persons.

Board meetings are not difficult to get to, with two of the four held at Marrick, one online and one in Ripon.
