On this page you will find some ideas and resources about praying in different ways for you personally and for your church.
Ways to pray
There are many different ways to pray. The Bible gives us plenty of insights on how people have prayed to God from the very beginning of creation. Walking with God, talking with God, pouring out our hearts to God, interceding, lamenting, praising, singing, playing music, dancing, being silent, being alone, being with others, connecting with nature or with other people. The essence of prayer is that we experience a connection between our human existence and the Divine. The fruit of prayer is that we have a sense of peace and trust. If you want to learn more about prayer, have a look at the resources below. If you want to join a prayer group, find out from your local church what groups are available, or send an email to spirituality@leeds.anglican.org.
