Priest in Charge of Warley and Mount Pellon
INTRODUCTION
Our vision as the Diocese is about confident clergy equipping confident Christians to live and tell the good news of Jesus Christ. For all our appointments we are seeking clergy who have a joyful and confident faith which has inspired a track record of church growth.
The parishes of Warley and Mount Pellon lie to the west of Halifax, West Yorkshire. They are urban-edge communities, bordering the Calder Valley and the higher ground to the north-west, and have characteristics of village life despite being on the outskirts of a major town.
These two parishes are coming together for the first time, in the hope that working together alongside a new priest will maximise opportunities to foster growth. There is commitment to build relationship, to reach out into the community with the love of God, to develop in discipleship and to nurture new believers.
Informal conversation about the post can be arranged with the Archdeacon, Ven Bill Braviner. To arrange this, please email archdeacon.halifax@leeds.anglican.org
