The Benefice of North Wakefield was created in 2020 and consists of four churches in four parishes who are keen to work together for the benefit of their local communities. We are seeking an experienced priest who will be a spiritual leader, filled with the Holy Spirit and who will help the congregations to develop their faith, and lead in mission and outreach in the communities. As this is the largest benefice in the Wakefield Deanery in terms of population, we are seeking a priest who has a track record of leadership in a complex environment, who empowers others and grows the confidence and gifts of God’s people. The new priest will be confident in sustaining the different traditions of the churches, including quite different styles of worship, while understanding that all of the churches are open to the possibility of change.
