People from across the diocese and beyond have been engaging with our Rhythm of Life initiative, with 50 Daily Devotions between Easter and Pentecost.
The daily emails included reflections from different people in our diocese, all looking at sections of the Book of Acts and how they connected to the seven focuses of the Rhythm of Life.
Each week one of our bishops reflected on a part of Acts, and these reflections can all be watched as videos here.
The emails also contained good news stories from parishes in the diocese, prayers, activities and more.
The Rt Revd Tony Robinson, Bishop of Wakefield, said: “Thanks to everyone who contributed to our 50 Eastertide daily devotions.
“They were full of interesting insights into the Acts of the Apostles.
“I hope they also provided much encouragement to those who are keeping our Diocesan Rhythm of Life.”
The Revd Canon Andrew Norman, Diocesan Director of Ministry and Mission, said: “The Rhythm of Life Team are delighted that so many people around the Diocese signed up for daily Eastertide reflections.
“We warmly encourage everyone to make use of other opportunities to enhance their rhythm of life!”
The Rhythm of Life initiative is inspired by the work of religious communities, and, from the Bible, Matthew 11: 28-29, which says: “Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.”
It offers an opportunity for Christians to consider fresh ways of keeping Christ central to our daily lives, through practical commitments, opportunities for mutual support and recommended resources.
The initiative has seven focuses: encourage, share, create, pray, rest, celebrate, and reflect.
