Priest, writer and regular BBC Radio 2 contributor Revd Matt Woodcock, is visiting the Dales to put a little laughter into Lent.
Kettlewell is the venue on Saturday, March 23 and Revd Matt will be around the following day, Palm Sunday, as guest preacher at Hubberholme Church.
Vicar Revd Tom Lusty said: “It’s brilliant that Matt is coming to the parish. He can make you laugh out loud and think deep thoughts about faith at the same time - a rare gift”. BBC presenter Zoe Ball has commented: “Matt’s honesty, wild humour and huge love for humans shines like gold”.
Revd Matt’s talk is at Kettlewell Village Hall (BD23 5QU) at 8pm on Saturday, March 23. The bar opens at 7.30pm and the first drink is free. There will be lots of non-alcoholic drinks available for anyone not drinking in Lent. After the talk, there will be a chance to ask questions and the bar will be open afterwards as well.
People of all ages are welcome to join the Palm Sunday procession the next day, Sunday, March 24. Which includes walking with Revd Matt Woodcock and a donkey - gather at Buckden Village Green at 10am to walk the 2 mile styles-free Dales Way path to Hubberholme Church. No need to book, just turn up.
