During his last couple of years as the Bishop of Leeds, the Rt Revd Nick Baines conducted an inquiry into the future of Europe.
Interviewing a wide range of interlocutors, he has now produced a report: ‘Reimagining Europe: A Christian Reflection’.
This feeds from his role as a Lord Spiritual (2014-2025) and Lead Bishop for International Affairs.
Bishop Nick said: “The Church of England has a responsibility, given its established nature, to engage imaginatively with our contribution to the future.
“This involves suggesting how to shape and not simply react to others’ imagination or engagement with a different vision.
“This report is my personal contribution to that debate.”
