The people of Bradford are able to explore the different faiths of the city in a new way, with the return of the Bradford Faith Trail.
Bradford Cathedral welcomed visitors at the end of the first Faith Trail of 2024 on Saturday, March 2.
The Bradford Faith Trail offers a unique opportunity to find out what makes up a a church, masjid, mandir or gurdwara, helping people discover a little bit about Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Christian (Roman Catholic and Church of England) faith buildings.
It also offers a chance to learn more about the faiths in those buildings and how they link into Bradford’s local community culture and faith heritage.
The Bradford Faith Trail takes in five places of worship: St Peter’s Catholic Church, Abu Makar Masjid, Shree Lakshmi Narayan Hindu Temple, Guru Gobind Singh Ji Gurdwara and Bradford Cathedral.
Trail walkers can visit as many places of worship as they like, with each place of worship open for set times and experienced guides there who are able answer questions, and to make the visit informative and enjoyable.
The one mile Faith Trail normally takes place on the first Saturday of the month from March to October and can be walked on foot in a day.
The whole trail starts at St Peter’s Catholic Church and finishes at Bradford Cathedral.
