As it gets closer to Christmas, the Diocese of Leeds is inviting churches to get Digital Giving in place for the festive season.
Christmas is a time of generosity, and churches often welcome more visitors in their services, both in person and online.
Having an online giving page, or contactless giving device, enables people to give easily, without having cash.
Through Parish Buying churches can access a simple online giving page through Give A Little, which can be shared more widely beyond a church building.
Churches can also create a QR code linking to the giving page, which can be added to anything you print, such as pew cards, an order of service or a poster for a giving station.
Customisable festive designs can be found linked at the bottom of the Online Giving information page here.
Give A Little can be used to create appealing donation screens on most contactless devices, which can be helpful in attracting donations throughout the year at weddings and baptisms where visitors may not carry cash.
Over the last 11 months, churches taking part in the Digital Giving project have taken in over £100,000 in donations.
Eight of these churches have produced case studies with top tips for making the most out of contactless devices and online giving pages, which can be found here.
The diocese is also putting on a webinar on Getting Digital Giving Ready for Christmas on Tuesday, November 14 at 7pm.
The Stewardship Team will go through the steps for creating a Christmas fundraising campaign for both online giving and contactless devices.
