Bishop Nick was at Wakefield Cathedral last Sunday as four new members of the Diocese of Leeds College of Canons wre installed at an evensong.
They included Bishop Arun Arora, Bishop of Kirkstall, who was installed alongside the Revd Anne Russell, Team Rector of Seacroft in Leeds.
The College will also benefit from the skills and experience of two senior lay people: Liz Morton, Team Leader for the diocese’s Children, Young People and Families Team, and Alison Dean, a member of the Cathedral Chapter and a Trustee of the Bishop’s Development Fund.
Commenting on the appointments Dean Simon said, “I am looking forward to welcoming Bishop Arun, Anne, Liz and Alison as the College of Canons continues to model the diocese’s commitment to clergy and lay people working together.
“Please pray for them as they enter this new phase of ministry”.
