Our bishops will be leading retreats across the diocese this Lent as part of our Rhythm of Life initiative, helping us to pray, reflect and learn together in the season.
Five retreats are happening in different areas in the diocese, including in Bradford, Ripon, Mirfield, Dewsbury and Leeds.
They are being led by our bishops and others including the Bishop of Bradford, the Rt Revd Toby Howarth; the Bishop of Ripon, the Rt Revd Anna Eltringham; the Bishop of Kirkstall, the Rt Revd Arun Arora; and the Rt Revd John Pritchard, former Bishop of Oxford.
The retreats will feature a mix of reflection, encouragement, challenge, prayer and worship, and aim to give people time to pause from the busy-ness of their lives to focus on God.
The Revd Canon Andrew Norman, Director of Ministry and Mission for the diocese, said: “These Lent retreats are a great opportunity to pause and reflect on our rhythms of life.
“Each will be led/hosted by one of our five area bishops.
“They’re not all on the same date, so you can pick a Saturday that works for you.”
