Community and environmental projects run for the benefit of our parishes may be eligible for grants of up to £10,000 from rail firm LNER – but this year’s offer is about to depart very shortly!
Monday, September 2 is the deadline for applications to the latest round of funding from London North Eastern Railway’s Customer and Community Investment Fund (CCIF).
The Fund aims to support charities along the routes of its trains and that includes much of our diocese, as the boundary for funding is 15miles from the tracks and stations.
The fund supports three priorities and applications must demonstrate that any projects are:
• Better for People
• Better for Places
• Better for Planet
Applications for the latest funding round can be submitted up until 23:59 on Monday 2 September 2024 and details about how to apply can be found here
More than 130 projects have received funding from our CCIF over the past five years and you can alos find out more about the fund – and some of the charities, organisations and communities that have benefited may be found on the link above.
The project and charity do not need to be located within the immediate proximity of an LNER station; instead, the fund is open to those located within 15 miles of the LNER route, in England and Scotland. Please see the LNER Route Map here.
