Top marks from Ofsted inspectors for one of our primary schools

Baildon CofE Primary School, which is part of Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust, has been praised for its exceptional staff and pupils and rated outstanding in all five areas of the Ofsted Framework.

During their two-day visit, inspectors reviewed all aspects of the school’s work. They noted the success of the deeply-embedded and ambitious school vision, which is underpinned by the Academy’s core ‘SOAR’ values of support, opportunity, achievement and respect.

Inspectors praised pupils’ exceptional behaviour and enthusiasm for learning. They also recognised the highly ambitious curriculum, which is delivered through high-quality teaching throughout the school.
In September 2023, 70 per cent of the school building was made inaccessible due to issues with reinforced concrete (RAAC). School leaders, with the support of BDAT, worked tirelessly to ensure that pupils’ education did not suffer as a result of this significant disruption. Their efforts were recognised by the inspection team, who celebrated their success in continuing to focus on providing the best possible education for pupils.

Mrs Savage, Headteacher at Baildon C of E Primary School, said: “We are delighted to be able to share the outcome of our recent inspection with our school community. This report recognises the passion, dedication and commitment of our staff team in living out our vision for our pupils to soar and to flourish. We are incredibly proud of our children’s achievements and it is wonderful to see this recognised within the report.”

Carol Dewhurst OBE, Chief Executive Officer at Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust, added: “The recent inspection at Baildon CE Primary School describes a school which goes above and beyond every day to support children to achieve and thrive in a welcoming, inclusive and aspirational environment. Well done to all our students, staff and family – this outcome is a credit to your hard work”.
