The initial phase of consultations regarding our Vacancy in See process has been completed with hundreds of responses received.
Postcards and posters were distributed to all our parishes and some 750 people replied with answers to questions regarding their hopes for their churches, what qualities are needed in the next Diocesan Bishop of Leeds and what they would like to say to that person.
The responses are now being compiled and will be shared as an important part of the Statement of Needs document currently being produced by the diocese as part of the Vacancy in See process.
The next opportunity for everyone to engage with the process will be at an open online forum chaired by the Rt Revd Toby Howarth, Bishop of Bradford on Thursday, September 11 that will be attended by the Archbishops Adviser on Appointments and the Prime Ministers Adviser on Appointments.
More details on how to attend this public meeting will be made available soon.
