Halifax Minster is filled with Christmas trees and the sound of music, as its Christmas Tree Festival gets underway.
The Festival at the Minster is now firmly fixed in the calendar of the town and the borough of Calderdale, now in its fifth year.
Some 33 trees, all sponsored by the private, public, and third sector adorn the ancient Benedictine Minster.
The church decorates the trees during Advent as it prepares for the Festival of Christmas and the birth of Jesus. 
Some 3,000 people have visited the Minster since the Festival has started, and the trees will stay in the Minster throughout December.
All proceeds go towards paying parish share and supporting ministry, especially during these challenging times of the ongoing pandemic.
The Revd Canon Hilary Barber, Vicar of Halifax Minster, and also President of Elland Silver Band, said: “Christmas in the Minster is a magical time of the year as the trees adorn the Minster.
“Day after day schools, choirs, and brass bands accompany the singing of Advent hymns and Christmas Carols, as we come to celebrate the birth of Jesus.”
