Hand to Mouth Ministries brought their own inimitable style of prayer and reflection to the Wakefield Office this week and invited staff and visitors to take time to be still.
The small Christian charity based in Huddersfield, brought their latest product, 'Inspire' and transformed the offices with stations that took people on a journey that touched on prayer, contemplation, reflection, stillness and simply being.
Designed for adults, Inspire was brought to Wakefield at the request of some head teachers, as Education Development Officer, the Revd Gill Johnson explained:
“Many of our schools have experienced the unique work of Hand to Mouth Ministries and we have brought them into our offices before.
“But we’d had a couple of requests and it seemed timely to invite anyone who wanted on this journey for personal reflection in what is a busy and very new time for all of us in this new diocese,” she said.
Hand to Mouth work mostly with schools to share the good news of God's love with primary school children throughout West Yorkshire. They lead assemblies and collective worship with puppets and they can cover a variety of PSHCE topics such as bullying and aiming higher as well as using 'Godly Play', 'The Amazing Journey' and 'Exploring Christianity through the Arts'. Inspire is especially for adults. Find out more here: www.handtomouth.org.uk.
