Huddersfield Parish Church is quick off the blocks and gearing up for Advent with news of its Christmas Fair to be held on Saturday, December 4.
The fun event runs from 10am until 4pm at the church with stalls from the RSPCA, Save the Children, Forget-me-not Hospice and The Joseph Salmon Trust.
The church will be running its traditional book stall, crafts, gifts, tombola, raffle and refreshments. In addition, this year there will be an interactive Family Advent Nativity Trail with craft activities for all the family such as glitter tattoos, badge making, crafts and prayers.
“We hope that each family will then take home their own nativity scene to display at home,” said one of its organisers, Jane Bembridge.
“We were fortunate to receive a donation from the Bishop's fund for a marquee, which we can erect in St Peter's Gardens, to help in our Mission in the town Centre.
“Our Advent Trail will start in this marquee and end at our crib scene in church.”
