Bishop James Bell and Archdeacon Peter Townley joined over two thousand young people, clergy and youth leaders at Lightwater Theme Park on Saturday for The Big Night Out.
Heavy rain failed to dampen the spirits of those wishing to take on the white knuckle rides and dance to the music provided by two Christian Bands. the Gentlemen and the Daughters of Davis who entertained the large crowd .
The event organised in partnership with York Diocese, Scripture Union, Urban Saints, the Girls Brigade, and the Boys Brigade draws together skills and resources from across the region and has become a significant part of the annual programme for young people in many churches.
