Sam Crook

Sam Crook will serve in the parish of Halifax Minster with Siddal St Mark, after training for ordination at The College of the Resurrection in Mirfield.  Sam and her husband the Rev Simon Crook settled in Yorkshire twenty years ago after a period of living and working in a Christian community in South Africa and have three children in their late teens and early twenties. Prior to training Sam worked as counsellor at Noah’s Ark Centre Halifax and as a primary school teacher with particular interest in the early years and special needs provision. Alongside working and bringing up the family Sam and her husband founded the charity ACross Country that works to use adventure and stillness to foster community and growth with marginalised groups. Sam loves to dance and sing, read books, go to the theatre and walk in the wilds, all the better if there is a swimming spot enroute.
