Rector - Holy Trinity, Skipton and St Augustine's, Draughton

‘Open Doors, Open Spaces, Open Minds’

Christ Church Oxford, as Patron, is searching for a new Rector for the parish of Holy Trinity Skipton and St Augustine’s Draughton. This is a very active, friendly and welcoming parish with a middle church tradition. Focused on the Yorkshire Dales town of Skipton and the adjacent village of Draughton, the patron and PCC seek an approachable, warm and compassionate individual.

The successful candidate will:

Have the ability to support and encourage growth in practical Christianity within the parish and the wider community;

Encourage the spirituality and prayer life of the congregation, by preaching the Gospel and relating it to their lives and experiences;

Recognise the need to develop the life of the parish by implementing and managing change with empathy whilst recognising the traditions that bind us;

Value the contribution of volunteers in all aspects of church life;

Reach out and work cooperatively with individuals, community groups, other faiths and denominations to make, build and extend relationships, playing a full part in civic life;

Have an awareness of the needs of the rural community, especially with reference to St Augustine’s Draughton.
