Last Sunday’s Harvest festival service in the remote parish of Swaledale with Arkengarthdale, in the Yorkshire Dales will be heard by thousands of radio listeners this Sunday, October 16, when it is broadcast on Premier Christian Radio.
The Premier team joined the congregation of Saint Mary’s Church in the small Yorkshire Dales village of Muker and as well as recording the service, reporter Ian Britton interviewed some of the congregation including local farmer John Porter, well known for his Swaledale sheep.
The music was provided by the Muker Silver Band, which has been at the heart of village life for well over 100 years. Leading the service was vicar, the Reverend Caroline Hewlett and her curate, the Reverend Alison Stewart Smith.
You can hear the programme this coming Sunday October 16th at 7am on Premier Christian Radio Channels including DAB, Freeview channel 725, Mobile Apps and On-Line.
