The Dicoesan Strategy informs all of the work of the diocese, providing us with a framework for the activities we under-take and the direction we are seeking to follow as a diocese.
This can be seen most clearly in the stories, events and people you see on our website, like the ones below.
Goal 1: Thriving as a distinctive diocese whose culture is shaped by a shared vision and values
People of different faiths and from all walks of life gathered together to learn about each other, representing all parts of our large, diverse and distinctive diocese. Find out more here.
Goal 2: Reimagining Ministry
Fountains Church Bradford celebrated their opening recently, as a church looking to reimagine ministry and Christian witness in the heart of Bradford. Find out more here.
Goal 3: Nurturing lay discipleship
The Places of Welcome initiative, such as this one at St Cuthbert’s in Huddersfield, offers a chance for lay people to act as disciples in their communities, and is something the diocese is firmly behind. Find out more here.
Goal 4: Building leadership pathways
The Diocesan Internship Scheme brings together young people serving in churches across the diocese to stretch and challenge them in discipleship, to grow their gifts and skills and to help them discover more of what God is calling them to. Find out more here.
Goal 5: Growing young people as Christians
Children at one of our schools have been learning about the Christian values of generosity and togetherness by raising money to support projects in our link diocese of Mara, in Tanzania. Find out more here.
