All Saints' Bingley celebrated 500 years of worship within its wall with a special Eucharist service on Sunday, preceeded by a musical spectacular on Saturday night.
Revd Martyn Weaver and the parishioners were delighted to receive Bishop Nick Baines to share this important event and the church was full.
Bingley Sea Scouts provided a banner escort, and a brief history of the church was given by one of the scouts.
Bishop Nick gave a stirring and challenging sermon. All Saints' choir were in good voice, having been busy the previous evening at a celebratory Promenade concert.
Following the service, refreshments and Prosecco were provided at the back of the church followed by a well-attended lunch at nearby Church House.
Parishoners and visitors were entertained the previous evening at a Promenade Concert to celebrate the church's 500th anniversary.

A packed church was entertained by a selection of local performers, including:
All Saints' Choir
All Saints' Beavers
Baildon Ladies Choir
Eldwick School Choir
Bradford Chorale
Hall Royd Brass Band.
All Saints' Beavers began the evening with a “Scouting Campfire Medley”, following which Hall Royd Brass Band played “Out of Africa” followed by”633 Squadron”. They were followed by Baildon Ladies Choir who sang a Medley of songs from Phantom of the Opera. Eldwick 
School Choir then sang a splendid selection of songs including a gospel melody. Bradford Chorale then sang Handel and Karl Jenkins Requiem.
Before the interval, the packed audience had a chance to stretch their lungs with a vibrant “Ilkley Moor Baht’at’!
Following the interval, Hall Royd Brass Band played a fantasia of traditional songs, and then All Saints' choir entertained with songs from each of the four nations of the UK.
And the highlights began when Anne Parker soloed All Saints' Choir singing Rule Britannia. Of course this was followed by equally rallying audience participation with “Jerusalem” and “Land of Hope and Glory”
After the National Anthem, all linked arms for a rousing rendition of “Auld Lang Syne”.
A splendid evening was had by all and Revd. Martyn thanked everyone for a splendid church and community effort.
