A “prayer map” of places, days and times where anyone can share prayer, together with others is being compiled for our diocese.
“It sometimes seems as if we are a bit bashful about letting everyone know that our churches are places where Christians pray, by themselves and together with others,” said
Canon Paul Maybury, Diocesan Prayer and Spirituality Coordinator.
“Prayer is the lifeblood of the church and a gift to the world.
“Praying each day is what most Christians seek to do as part of their discipleship.
“Praying with others each day is what is offered in some of our parish churches and all of our Cathedrals,” said Canon Paul (pictured).
“So please email spirituality@leeds.anglican.org with the name of your place of worship and the days of the week and times when anyone can come to pray with others.
“We will then hope to provide a map showing this information, once compiled.”
Morning Prayer lasts no longer than 30 minutes and is a time including Bible readings, a Psalm, Spoken responses and Canticles, silence and intercessions.
Everyone is welcome at Morning Prayer, from the Daily Prayer book, in any of our Cathedrals, Monday to Saturday.

This is suitable for both individual use and when with others. You can buy the book or download the app which is called DailyPrayer and published by Church House Publishing.
