A unique collaboration will be taking place this Friday November 21st at Bradford Cathedral with a multi-media and multi –ethnic interpretation of the Christmas story.
In a first for the Cathedral’s 'Artspace' project, South Asian Arts organisation Kala Sangam and local storyteller Fred Stone have come together for an evening of music, dance and storytelling entitled Journeying with the Christmas Story.
The evening’s programme is based on Sue Symons’ One Man’s Journey to Heaven currently displayed in the Cathedral. The exhibition comprises a series of sumptuously decorated panels in a combination of needlework, hand-drawn lettering, illumination and calligraphy, consisting of the Advent and Christmas panels from a much larger work known as the Bath Abbey Diptychs.
This multi-media, multi-ethnic interpretation of the Christmas Story is in the Cathedral on Friday 21st November at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 / £5 full time students and available from the Cathedral Office on 01274 777720.
