The new priest at Bishop Monkton, a village near Harrogate, says she has been surprised and delighted by angels which have appeared in the village church.
A three day Angel Festival at St. John the Baptist church included a concert of angelic music, “Angel Tidings” by the aptly named Voces Seraphorum.
Meanwhile, children from the village school and talented parishioners created imaginative displays of angels from the large to the tiny.
The Revd Sheila Murray who has only been the priest there for 8 weeks said “Wow! I am privileged to be part of a community that is so creative. What a joy to see the church looking so amazing”.
