The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, will be the speaker at the first William Temple Foundation Annual Lecture at Leeds Civic Hall on Wednesday,18 March at 5.30pm.
In a talk entitled, 'Air, Light, Land & Water: Reclaiming public assets for the common profit', Dr Sentamu will discuss social movements and activism in the light of continuing economic pressure.
He will argue for the right and duty of the church to speak out in the face of injustice, as well as exploring notions of citizenship and common ownership.
