Cakes, bakes and faith will be shared at an evening of food and fun at Holy Trinity, Huddersfield.
Martha Collison, youngest ever contestant on the Great British Bake Off, and Will Torrent, TV chef, chocolatier and renowned cooking author, will be baking and cooking together while also sharing their recent experiences on trips with Tearfund.
They will tell inspiring stories of how Tearfund is supporting families in greatest need around the world.
Will recently met cocoa farmers in Ivory Coast, while Martha visited Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
The event is part of Holy Trinity’s ‘Shine’ celebrations, marking 200 years of the church’s ministry in Huddersfield.
Bev Playle, one of the organisers from Holy Trinity, said: “We’re looking forward to this event as it’s a great opportunity to share the gospel message in a fun and friendly way.
“Tearfund is one of our Mission partners and they do some fabulous work empowering some of the poorest communities.
“And of course, we all love cake and chocolate!!”
The event is taking place on Wednesday October 9, starting at 7.30pm.
It is a free event, but attendees need to book their ticket, which can be done by calling the office at Holy Trinity on 01484 513213 or visiting the Eventbrite link, found here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/tearfunds-cakes-bakes-faith-tour-with-martha-collison-will-torrent-tickets-66443208425?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&aff=escb&utm-source=cp&utm-term=listing
