Branch FM bring Music & Testimony to Dewsbury Minster

Dewsbury Minster is welcoming US Rock duo Neely and Bradford speaker Bruce Pearson to a night of Music & Testimony organised by radio station Branch FM.

On 19 August, people will gather at the Minster to hear how the Church saved Bruce from addiction and homelessness, while Neely will perform as part of their eight-week tour across Europe.

Michael Booth from Branch FM said: “This event is about the saving power of Jesus Christ and we hope that people coming to it will be inspired, encouraged and impacted and that they too will know the grace and love of God.”

Barnabas Childs from Branch FM said: “It's going to be a really entertaining and fun night! The evening is FREE and we have amazing live music and our speaker Bruce Pearson will be sharing how God radically changed his life, taking him out of a deep darkness and giving him a new life.”

Speaker Bruce Pearson was a former drug and alcohol addict living on the streets of Bradford. After collapsing he was told by doctors he had just a year to live if he did not stop drinking.

Bruce stumbled upon a Church one day where he found the power of God and was cured of his addictions.

Inspired by Leading the Way with Dr. Michael Youssef, a programme on Premier Radio, Bruce went to Bible College and is now using his passion for the Bible to help others on the streets of Bradford.

Bruce will be at Dewsbury Minster’s Music & Testimony to talk about his story and preach ‘Passionately, Proclaiming, Uncompromised Truth’.

Neely’s Country Rock, with ‘the voice of Daughtry, the heart of Evanescence, and the guitars of 3 Doors Down’, will be on hand to provide some lighter entertainment during the evening.

The husband and wife duo from Nashville, Tennessee, will be stopping at the Minster as part of their eight-week tour around the UK’s and Europe’s festivals, chapels and churches.

Jeremy and Kaci were married in 1996 but it was until the summer of 2000 that they began to explore and merge their musical talents together.

The couple released their debut EP in 2008 and have since released two albums – Everything I am in 2009, and Colour Bind in 2011.

Branch FM are hoping to broadcast the event live from the Minster though this has not yet been confirmed. If this is not possible, the event will be recorded by the station.

Music & Testimony will take place on Friday 19 August from 19:00. The event is free.
