Charity seeks Team Leader to work in disadvantaged communities

Yorkshire-based Christian charity Jesus Shaped People are hoping to recruit a new Team Leader to further their mission across the country.
Jesus Shaped People (JSP) encourage churches, particularly those serving marginalised communities, to re-shape their vision and work based on five priorities that Jesus adopted in his three year ministry.
Jesus Shaped People began in 2005 to enable the churches of a largely urban housing estate parish of Tong and Holme Wood in Bradford gain a better grasp of Christian discipleship.
It proved to be highly effective in enabling the congregation to become more wholehearted and single minded in ‘following Jesus’.
Interest in JSP from other churches in Anglican and other denominations has grown steadily, and in 2016 a Charitable Trust was formed to oversee future development.
Adoption of JSP over the past three years has been strong in our diocese, in Birmingham, and has steadily developed in Manchester, Lancashire, and Cheshire.
More recently JSP has been introduced to Northampton, Southwark, Lichfield and Rochester, and wider interest is continuing.
Gordon Dey, Jesus Shaped People Team Leader, said: “Jesus Shaped People rightly describes itself as a 'Whole Church Discipleship Adventure'.
“Over the past few years it has been inspiring and equipping churches to adopt the style of corporate discipleship that Jesus modelled.
“It has also steadily spread geographically, and ecumenically, and in a way that positively includes children and young people.
“I'm delighted that the Trustees are now able to advertise for a new full time Team Leader, or as a Job Share post that will it to spread further across the UK.”
