Christians Together Calderdale and Halifax Minister joined forces to celebrate the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday.
The Saturday Gathering group from Christians Together which grew out of the Food and Prayer Drop In at Ebenezer Methodist Church met to share a meal at The Gathering Place in Halifax before making their way to Halifax Minister where they joined in the Easter Vigil.
Starting outside the Minister around the fire the congregation processed inside where the vigil was held to the light of the Pascal Candle.
On finishing inside the two congregations joined n a torch light procession from the Minster back to The Gathering Place where worship continued including the baptism of five new Christians.
Services were led by tyhe vicar of Halifax, the Revd Canon Hilary Barber from Halifax Minister and Linda Maslen, who is training for Ordination, from Christians Together who both got their feet wet in the baptism pool! they were supported and helped by the Revd Jonathon Bish and Christians Together Reader Jeff Heaton
