The school choir from St John's C E Infant School had the special honour of singing for the new Mayor of Dewsbury at the Mayor Making ceremony in Huddersfield Town Hall.
The children from Years 1 and 2 sang their favourite songs of 'Our God is a Great Big God' and 'Thank You God for This Fine Day' which included the wonderful line 'Thank you God for Dewsbury Town!
School bursar Adrienne Hatfield said the choir were an exceptional example of the youngsters of Dewsbury, an outstanding credit to the school and wonderful ambassadors of their Christian Values.
