Last night, January 30, Bradford folk gathered in a local Costa for coffee, cake and conversation about life's journey's.
The event, named 'The Wheels on the Bus', brought Bradford churches into the coffee house located in Greengates and provided those there with an opportunity to explore the Christian Faith in an informal, accessible and neutral setting.
The evening was organised and hosted by the Revd Canon Robin Gamble, Bishop's Advisor for Church Growth (pictured below), who interviewed a number of special guests and introduced different activities to challenge those in attendance about their personal life journey and what it would be like to have God walk alongside them. The special guests included a local curate Derek Jones and Children, Young People & Families team member Katherine Grasham (pictured below and right) who both shared their experiences of being a Christian and what it was like walking life's journeys with God by their side.
"I had a really great time tonight at Costa," said Katherine.
"I was able to share my testimony with everybody and it has been really encourging to talk with different people about their journey's and spirituality with God."
Beverly Nuttall who also attended the Costa evening said, "It has been a treat to come tonight. It has been wonderful to spend time thinking more deeply about our own journey and where we are on that journey with God."
"Tonight has included some serious moments of reflection but alot of fun and laughter too. Listening to everybody sing their favourite journey song was certainly the highlight and topped off what has been a fun, easy-going and challenging evening."
