Could your church end children’s holiday hunger?

Could your church help children look forward to rather than dread their school holidays?

For the 13 weeks of school holidays, many of the 1.2 million pupils eligible to receive free school meals are left without regular hot food.

MakeLunch is a network of churches working to fill the holiday hunger gap.

There are over 12,000 children in Leeds who claim free school meals but at the moment Leeds doesn't have a MakeLunch kitchen. Could your church join the fight against holiday hunger? Find out how at an introduction to MakeLunch, on Tuesday 12 July, 7.15-8.45pm at St Matthias Burley.*

The kitchens are run by volunteers. You’ll be helped to get everything in place to open MakeLunch in your community, and you’ll continue to be supported once your kitchen is up and running.

Make Lunch has been featured widely in the media including Channel 4 News and BBC Radio 4.
