Dial-in services keep congregations connected

Dial-in services have been making sure that Church remains accessible to all in these difficult times.
All Saints Church in Ilkley have been running three services a week in this fashion, reaching those who otherwise might be isolated from church at this time.
Revd Mike Coe, Vicar of All Saints, said: “The dial-in service is a great source of regular support to those in our church family at All Saints who are unable to access the Internet.
“Although it has its challenges it has proved to be a blessing to many who would otherwise be Isolated from the Church family as well as from wider normal life.
“It’s not perfect and has its challenges but has been much easier to set up and more cost-effective than I expected it be.
“The benefits to our church family easily outweigh the challenges and I would highly recommend it to other churches to try.”
The Benefice of Sutton with Cowling and Lothersdale has also been running phone-in services, led by their Vicar, the Revd Helen Collings, with some 50 people attending their services.
Both All Saints and Sutton with Cowling and Lothersdale have been using packages from whypay.net to run their services.
